We build this site to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Information is available in large print, Easy Read, by phone or by post at no cost.
Our commitment
We support people with disability. A website that some of those people cannot use would be a contradiction, so we build this one to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
We are not claiming perfection. Accessibility is something you maintain, not something you finish. If you hit a barrier on this site, we want to hear about it.
What we have done
Colour and contrast
Every text and background combination on this site is tested to meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio. Colour is never the only way we convey meaning.
Keyboard access
Every link, button and menu can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. Focus is always clearly visible.
Screen readers
Headings follow a proper structure, images carry meaningful descriptions, and there is a skip link to jump straight to the main content.
Text and zoom
Text resizes without breaking the layout. You can zoom to 200% and still use every page.
Motion
If you have reduced motion turned on in your device settings, we respect it.
Plain language
We write in plain English and explain terms and acronyms the first time we use them.
Information in other formats
If you would find any information on this site easier in another format, ask us. At no cost, we can provide:
- Large print
- Easy Read versions of key documents
- Information read to you over the phone
- Information sent by post
- An interpreter, including Auslan, arranged for a meeting
